Description
Data analysis is the bedrock to develop information required for decision making. MS Excel users can generate information to help make an informed decision. However, when data is contained in or obtained from various tables (dimension & fact tables), analysis becomes very difficult. Users have to look up facts and merge tables which becomes cumbersome. To make data analysis by Excel users more user – friendly, Microsoft launched Power Pivot and its DAX functions (Data Analysis expression). With Power Pivot, Excel users can now do data analysis with much ease across tables. They are no longer restricted to pivot on one table. With the knowledge gained from this course Data Analysis Using Power Pivot, Excel users can now easily create relationships between tables by point & click then drag & drop. Models and modeling become the order of the day. Creating Measures with DAX makes analysis very simple but sophisticated. Learning Outcome At the end of this course Data Analysis Using Power Pivot and Dax, participants would be able to:
- Highlight the insights introduced to data analysis and execution by Power Pivot
- Understand Data Modelling and creating Relationships between facts and dimension tables
- Show how Power Pivot and DAX helps in developing adequate Decision-Making reports
- Provide the techniques needed for mastering Power Pivot and DAX capabilities
- Develop skills for data mining using DAX.
